What if the Wi-Fi goes down?
The router lives in the building's common area, not your flat — so you can't restart it yourself. WhatsApp Adam and he'll either restart it remotely or get the building manager to power-cycle it.
The fire alarm is going off — what do I do?
If it's a real fire, evacuate via the stairs and call 999. If it's a false alarm (cooking, steam): find the alarm keys on top of the fire alarm panel — reach to the back if needed. Slot the key into the panel's key box and turn to OFF, then press the red 'Silence Alarms' and 'Reset System' buttons. Walkthrough video is in the Lockbox section of your portal.
Where can I leave my luggage on checkout day?
Golders Green station (10 min walk) and Cricklewood Thameslink (12 min) both have Stasher partners around £6 per bag. Book through their app.
Can I have visitors over?
Daytime visitors are fine. Overnight guests count toward your booking — please WhatsApp Adam first. Building has other residents; no parties or large gatherings.
How do I get hot water?
Hot water is on demand from the boiler in the utility cupboard next to the living room. Just turn the tap.
A radiator isn't getting warm — what do I do?
Each radiator valve is numbered 1–6 — turn anti-clockwise to increase heat (6 is max). Also check the kitchen thermostat is set above the room temperature. If the whole flat is cold, message Adam to check the boiler.
Can I park outside?
Yes — there's first-come-first-served driveway parking, plus free street parking outside the 11 AM – 12 PM restricted window.
What if I lock myself out?
Your lockbox code is in your portal under 'Lockbox code'. Remember you need both keys (small one for the building's front door, large one for the flat). If the code isn't working, WhatsApp Adam immediately.
Is there a lift?
No — two flights of stairs to the flat (Flat 4). Stairs only — not suitable for wheelchairs or guests with significant mobility needs.
Do you allow pets?
Pets aren't allowed by default, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. WhatsApp Abodess at least 7 days before arrival with breed and size — case-by-case approval, additional cleaning fee may apply.
Is there a travel cot or highchair available?
We don't currently keep a travel cot or highchair at this property. If you need either for your stay, WhatsApp Abodess — we can sometimes arrange a rental with advance notice.
Where's the iron and ironing board?
Iron and ironing board are in the wardrobe / hall cupboard. If you can't find them, message Abodess on WhatsApp.
